1985 wurde der von Lee Majors gesungene Titelsong "The Unknown Stuntman" auch als Single veröffentlicht. Geschrieben wurde er von Glen Larson, Gail Jensen und David Sommerville.

Obwohl er nie den Einstieg in die amerikanischen Billboard-Charts schaffte, konnte er in Deutschland seinerzeit immerhin bis auf Platz 11 klettern.

In Folge 52 "Plattenpiraten" gibt Colt alias Lee Majors das Stück sogar live während des Konzerts eines befreundeten Nashville-Country-Sängers zum besten. Der Story zufolge hat Howie(!) den Song in diesem Fall im Alleingang komponiert...
